Day 5. Uterga to Puente la Reina. 6.7km/4m

In a Monastery with a nun.
Leone and I travelled to Uterga by taxi, thus avoiding the mountain outside Pamplona. We then had a leisurely stroll to Puente La Reina, where all the Caminos join and follow the same track to Santiago. We walked through wheat fields on a track lined with almond trees with the occasional small vineyard. I got measured for a knee support in the farmacia and rested for the afternoon. The Albergue is in an old Monastery and is amazing value for 5 euros. Each dormitory of 8 has 3 showers and loos and a washer and drier. There is also a kitchen with a vending machine that sells water and beer ( water and wine would have been better), and a garden. We have reserved 4 bunks for the rest of our gang. I have also met Sylvio and Titiana again and there are many familiar faces from the past few days.
