Day 25

The adventure ends.
I have decided to come home as I still can’t put my heel down and it would be foolish to risk further injury. I’m disappointed but have had such a wonderful adventure in an amazing country and have met some fabulous people.
Thank you to anyone who has followed this blog. Your support has encouraged me all the way.

  1. It’s been really great following your blog, thank you for that, you did fantastically well, can’t wait to hear all about it on your return.

    1. Thanks Ana. I’ve so loved your country and want to return soon (from the relative luxury of our motorhome next time). Hope you have room for me at The Greek Night! x

  2. Annie you should be very proud of what you’ve achieved – we are very proud of you! Thanks for sharing the journey with us, and see you soon. Sarah xx

    1. Thanks Paul and June. I hoped that you were reading my blog. I’ve not done too badly for an old girl and at least there were no bloody stiles!

    1. Thanks sweetie. I pick up my documents in two hours. Have found an Internet cafe with amazing bagels so am surviving well. The overnight couchette was like something from the 1950’s. Al part of the experience. Talk soon xxxx

    1. Thanks Rick. As they say, it’s the journey that matters and I had the best time in a brilliant place with amazing people. Who can ask for more.

  3. Thank you for the blog, which was impressive on its own. I have never worried so much about another woman’s feet! A gutsy feat (sorry!) which I hope hasn’t robbed you of the love of walking. Would be good to understand how to prevent similar another time. Were the boots too tight for hot weather? Oh, is there any way I can invest in pharmacies along that route?

    1. Thanks Dave, made me chuckle. I’m in a bagel Internet cafe in Paris and the password is stevejobs!!
I didn’t even know you were reading my blog. Yes, I hope that I have learned more about blister prevention rather than maintenance, but once on that treadmill, particularly in the hot conditions, it was only a matter of time until one got infected. I had a marvellous time Dave and I feel proud of myself and maybe not as much of a scaredy cat as I was. Always great to hear from you. May your nightmares be free of visions of my feet from now on. x

  4. Oh Annie what a wonderful trip you have taken us on! I was going to comment tonight anyway having just caught up with your blog after a few days in Yorks. Well done you it seems you have have had an amazing time with adventure and friendship as company C x
